There are rumours everywhere!
So, you have some contacts in Scandinavia/Sweden? That's nice!
i heard this from a "friend of a friend of a friend...." at least 3 or 4 intermediate steps before i heard it.. so it is likely distorted, but i'll throw it out there in case someone in or near sweden can clarify it.. .
i heard that the wts branch in sweden instructed all jws there to "get rid of" all (empahasized all) of their printed literature, and rely exclusively on the content of jw.org for their literature.. .
that's the entire extent of it - i also got a few speculations about "what it might mean" (the society is expecting persecution!

It must have been the letter about getting rid of old litterature.
By the way, Scandinavia is now "ruled" from the branch office in Denmark.

Not true! There is not even a brach office here in Sweden now. It closed last year.
i heard that there was a recent (january 2013) big shake up on the west coast in orange california.
i think it is a kingdom hall on taft street in orange that has a double hall.
anyway, i heard that there were 10 to 15 disfellowshiped, others given public reproof and several congregations broken up and new conregations started as a result.
I think the picture is from Gilead school. The students are trying the "missionary position"!
i read in a forum in spanish that there is a strong rumor spreading in the corridors of the wt.
has anyone heard anything about this??
the change that is emerging is this: the great crowd has not yet appeared, and it is a group that comes out of the great tribulation.
But, this looks like old light, if you read the WT articles from 1995 and 1966. The great crowd is those other sheep surviving the tribulation. "Other sheep" who has died before the tribulation is still other sheep, but not part og the great crowd.
But, maybe there will be something new...an adjustment to the overlapping generations and to the teaching of the FDS and the domestics?
i hope you are all well and enjoying your saturday!.
it's really great seeing so many newbies, congratulations to each and everyone of you.
and welcome.. in any case, my question is the one i put in the title :.
It might be so. The GB identified as the FDS is maybe a big thing.
Is there anyone who knows if this site gets a lot of new members during/after summer conventions. I noticed that during past summers conventions we had surprisingly high number of guest during lunch brakes and the evenings at our swedish XJW-community. And after the conventions a lot of new people registered themselves to the community.
i'm referring to abuse in all it's forms: emotional, physical, sexual, mental, spiritual, whatever.. i.
So you can look at it as an eye-opener? A bit cynical, but maybe you are in to something?
I think a lot of women had learned TTATT the hard way.
I don't know, but maybe more peaple leave the Borg after some injustice/maltreatment then disagreeing with the dogma. Maybe a person that has been maltreated is more motivated to question the dogma? A person who likes the life as JW don't normally dare to think independently.
well here it is, my first post!
it feels like a huge step like the point of no return.
i am a born in, still in wanting to get out ms. i have refused eldership, used to pioneer and have sooo many stories.
Act very careful. If you want your wife to learn TTATT hou have to accept that it might take several years. Don't try to force her to read material that is critical to the organisation or the beliefs. Just ask open questions.
Read some of Steven Hassans books.
happy almost friday everybody!
so i'm curious, how long has everyone been out?.
do you believe in god?
I left the Borg in 1989! For some years I went to some other churches, but now I don't believe in God, Jesus or the Bible! I'm free at last! :-)
..... you to stop attending ?
injustices ?
disagree with the teachings ?
Last time for me was in 1989. I'v been fading since then!
